Halal is an Arabic word which means Permitted, Allowed, Lawful in Islam. Basically, all products are Halal, except those which are declared Haram as per Shariah, including pork & other Non-Halal animals, carrions, animals slaughtered improperly, ethanol & other intoxicants, contaminated and hazardous food etc.
Both suppliers and the last customer, who could be Muslims, wonder whether the food they consume is Halal and prefer products with halal food certification when purchasing.
A Halal Food Certificate is now required for the producers who sell food products abroad. The Halal Food Certificate is now used as the manufacturer’s marketing method as well as being reliable Halal Food. Companies that buy food from abroad and domestically have started to require the producer to have a Halal Food Certificate.
